Taking a chance in new territories, growing in the national market and investing in the creation of partnerships: these are Mercado da Pedra’s main challenges for year 2014.
Following the new showroom opening at the end of year 2013, the strategic alliance between Mercado da Pedra and the Italian Antolini was aimed at expanding the business throughout other territories by drawing up a joint internationalization plan for the Portuguese-speaking countries. As Mercado da Pedra puts into practice its Know-how and strategic positioning to lead the insertion of Antolini into the Angolan market, the company moves forward with the creation of Mercado da Pedra Angola, a 100% Angolan company.
Having been awarded with their first work there, the 2014 planned investment for this country includes a local sales team, as well as the opening of a new showroom concept at the center of Luanda. The installation into this market will result, medium term, in the establishment of a storehouse at a business center located at the outskirts of the same city, while the opening of a transformation unit in the country is currently under evaluation.
As for now, the exclusivity of distribution in the offer of the Lapitec brand is assured, both in Angola and Mozambique.
